Preparing for your Headshot Session

Hi, I’m Jamie,

I am excited to be working with you and your team to create some portraits for your brand. I know that getting in front of the camera can be a bit daunting for some.

Don’t fret. I am here to help make this process a fun experience for you. During your session, we will chat, get to know each other and I will walk you through different poses and expressions. Be yourself and ask questions during the session if you need!

  • Dress for your brand.

Start with neutral tones for your first layer, then add pops of colour that align with your company’s brand. Dress like you were meeting a client.

  • Keep hair neat & tidy.

Keep hair clean and neatly brushed whether down or tied back. Use a little hair spray or gel to prevent fly aways.

  • Make Up

Make up is optional. If you wear some when meeting clients, feel free to come make up ready. If you sport a more natural look, go with that but do bring some chapstick as this goes a long way. Don’t forget to have fun and be you!

What to wear

Follow company dress code or dress as if you are meeting a client or attending a company event.

Wardrobe101

  1. Start with a neutral base: white, grey or pastel

  2. Add on blazer, sport coat, cardigan, etc

  3. Add on pop of colour: ties, necklaces, etc

Avoid big patterns (small patterns are ok) and no big brand logos.

Keep it simple.
